Note: This unit will be available at SMIF for 3 months, starting in October. We have a number of measuring systems and we could arrange to get special geometries if requested. Please send an email to renata.garces@duke.edu for any inquiries about the HR 20.
Rotational single-head rheometer with high sensitivity, ease of use (TRIOS software), and versatility.
Rheometry is used to evaluate how a material flows. Typically is used to characetriza viscosity, storage modulus G’ and loss modulus G’’, yield point, etc. The HR 20 at SMIF is equipped with a peltier (plate) that goes from -10C to 150C and a convection oven that works in the range of 25C to 200C .
- Complex Fluid Analysis: Ideal for studying the rheology of multi-phase systems, gels, and emulsions.
- Microstructure Analysis: Suitable for analyzing the interplay between rheology and material microstructure.
- Time-Dependent Behavior: Perfect for evaluating thixotropic and rheopexic behaviors of innovative materials.
- Frequency-Dependent Studies: Analyze viscoelastic properties under varying frequency inputs to decipher material response.
- Software Interface: TRIOS
