Cleanroom
Kirk is an engineer who works primarily in the SMIF Cleanroom.
Kirk has a B.S. in Applied Science/Materials Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
He has actively worked as an engineer in cleanrooms since 1994 performing sample processing, process development and equipment maintenance both in the private industrial sector and academia. He joined SMIF in 2003 and helped in the planning and startup of the current SMIF Cleanroom in 2007.
Outside of work Kirk plays bass guitar and synthesizer in bands, mountain bikes and coaches his son’s soccer team.
